At Your Service!
Although we don't officially work 7 days a week we do tend to check emails and phone messages on a Sunday. Dealing with any important matters if we can. Recently the phone range on a Sunday morning so we answered it. The call was from the Seahouses Tourist Information Centre with a plea for help from a family who had booked a cottage, which, upon their arrival a day earlier, turned out not to be suitable for their needs. We spoke to the gentleman and gave him 4 cottage options which were near a beach, sleeping 6, ready to take a family that same afternoon and which we hoped to be able to contact the owner on a Sunday morning. The gentleman decided he would like to look at all the houses before making a decision. So, as we were hoping to go shopping it was decided we would take the telephone numbers of the owners and he would ring our mobile when a choice had been made. We could then call the owners from "the shops" and hopefully arrange for the family to move in. Well, it was actually Dorothy Perkins changing room when he called back. This turn out to be quite a handy little mobile office, as the seat acted as a desk. So we got straight onto the job in hand called the owner, who inturn called her caretaker, the owner then called us back and we called the gentleman back. The family moved in later that afternoon. The owner called him that evening to check everything was okay and was told they all absolutely loved the house and he was extremely grateful for all our help.
